And to think he'd spent all that time shining his pads...

Second One Day International, Trent Bridge

England 85 beat South Africa 83 by ten wickets

KP's winning streak as England captain continues as England take a 2-0 lead in the One Day series with a commanding ten wicket win over South Africa.

Blimey, it's all going alright for Cap'n KP isn't it?

You are still allowed to call him by his actual name you know...

I know, but all the cool kids are saying it.

Fair enough. And in answer to your question, yes, bizarrely it's all gone swimmingly so far for the new England captain, with another One Day win over his birth nation, South Africa. This time by a whopping ten wickets.

Ten wickets? Bet you Graeme Smith had a right face on him.

He did indeed. Especially when the crowd started to boo him during the post-match ceremony.

So what happened to them?

Well, Andre Nel finished as their highest scorer on 13. Which says all you need to know about their batting performance really...

Well played to Gunter.

You're only saying that because you're scared of him.

True. Who got the wickets?

Stuart Broad is the man who picked up a five-wicket haul and with it the Man of the Match award. Matt Prior took a joint One Day England record of six catches, and then went on to hit 45 not out in England's easy reply, as they took just 15 overs to knock off the winning total of 84.

Nice one. So what odds on a 5-0 whitewash while we're at it?

Well, 5/1 since you ask. Where you off to?

The bookies...
