The record number of Test runs made by the West Indies’ Brian Lara in his career. One of only three players to break 11,000 runs at Test level, Lara holds the all-time record for the highest individual innings in Test cricket, having made 400 against England in 2004 and in first class cricket when he made 501 for Warwickshire against Durham in 1994.

Eden Park

26

The lowest innings total in Test cricket as made by New Zealand against England during the Second Test at Auckland’s Eden Park in March 1955. For the record, England won the game by an innings and 20 runs. How do you like dem apples Mr. Kiwi?

The highest total ever recorded in a 50-over match. Sri Lanka made the score against the Netherlands in July 2006. Man of the match was Sanath Jayasuriya who struck 157 off 104 balls, including 24 fours and one almighty six.

Sanath Jayasuriya

The highest team score in the Twenty 20 game, achieved by Sri Lanka against Kenya in Johannesburg at the inaugural World Cup in September 2007. The Sri Lankans wellied 30 fours and 11 sixes in their innings with Sanath Jayasuriya firing 88 off 44 balls
