Some rain recently. And an idiot.

Kiwis frustrated in Tour opener...

And so to Arundel where New Zealand began their Tour with a game against an MCC XI. And wouldn't you know it, it's abandoned bceasue of rain. Yes, the day after scorching temperatures in Sussex (and three weeks after the heaviest snowfall in decades), the match was called off when the heavens opened with the MCC on 44-2 in reply to the tourists 239-7 off 47 overs. Star of the day was Aaron Redmond who staked a claim for a place in the Test side, hitting seven fours in a rather tidy 72.
